A natural gas pipeline is planned to be constructed to proceed through Henderson County, Kentucky. Texas Gas Transmission is a subsidiary of the Bluegrass Pipeline Partners, LP. Texas Gas Transmission has announced that it intends to construct a pipeline through Henderson County. The pipeline will be known as the Southern Indiana Market Lateral. The proposed lateral will begin in Southern Henderson County at the Texas Gas Transmission mainline facilities. It will proceed to Posey County, Indiana. Texas Gas Transmission has indicated that the pipeline will be constructed to serve the new Midwest Fertilizer and SABIC Innovative plastic plants. If the pipeline is constructed, it is estimated the pipeline will transport approximately 166 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The lateral will be approximately 30 miles in length.
